Second Chance Rich Dad

Second Chance By Robert Kiyosaki

I love having the chance to work with people I look up to. I remember many years ago watching late night infomercials. I knew them all. I had my favorite ones. No not the hair in a can stuff. The ones from great entrepreneurs were my favorites. I’ve always had the entrepreneurial spirit. I’ve come up with a million small business in my life. Mostly unfocused though. Never living up to the potential. It took great mentors to push me. One of those mentors, unbeknownst to them, is Robert Kiyosaki. You probably know him as the Rich Dad Poor Dad Guy. I read his first book, Rich Dad Poor Dad, right after deciding to drop out of college. I knew that college was not meant for me. I don’t do well with bosses. I had to make my own way. The core of what I learned from that book came down to thinking. The rich think different from the poor. Certain ways of looking at things prevents you from achieving the success you want. When I was contacted to review his new book I was excited. This is a sponsored post by Rich Dad. Regardless I will and have turned down opportunities many times if they don’t align with our values in this community. This I fully support.

Braaitime Biltong

Braaitime Biltong Review

A few years back I wrote a top ten list of Paleo foods to store. On that list I picked Biltong as one of the top items. Biltong if you’ve never heard of it is a dry pickled meat from south africa. In the article I stated that it beat out jerky for several reasons. Biltong unlike jerky is still very moist. It has a concentrated flavor that is not salty. When I wrote that post the only way to get biltong was to make it yourself. I tried to find a commercial biltong maker for you guys and could not. Recently I had a comment on the article from a company in the US that makes Biltong. I checked them out and sent them an email asking if they would be willing to send me a sample for review. Braaitime Cured meats and the wonderful Nicolle sent out samples and I have some thoughts to share.

The Days Of Noah

The Days of Noah: Conspiracy review

Mark Goodwin aka Prepper Recon just released a new book. The Days of Noah:Book One: Conspiracy. He shot me an email with a copy of the audio book to review. With the two-hour long drive to the tiny house location it was a blessing. I can’t stand the talk radio for that long.

Is there a secret cabal working to collapse the international economy in order to usher in a global government and one-world currency?

The book follows two main protagonists. Noah, a school teacher, and Everett, a CIA analyst. You follow them as things start to fall apart. You watch as Noah’s life is turned upside down. You get to follow Everett down the rabbit hole.

Exo Bars

Exo Bars: Cricket Flour Protein Bars

Exo Bars
Exo Bars

I’ve talked about the Exo bars before. I wanted to try some but never got around to it. Recently I shot them an email to see if they would send out some for review. They got them right out to me. I decided to do this review a little different. Normally I will open an item and take lots of pictures. Tell you all about what I thought about the flavor. Not this time. Exo has a goal to make eating insects normal. They want it to go mainstream in America.

In America eating bugs has become such a taboo. Like I’ve written about before I have eaten bugs often. None of this when I have to I will crap. As Coach Nick Says I live the brand. So I wanted to help Exo with their goal. I had a lot of friends try the Exo bars. People that have never eaten bugs before. In a small way I wanted to turn a simple review into a way to open eyes. How did it go? How are the bars? Let’s find out.

I like to use gear extensively before I review it. I don’t want to recommend something to you guys without first beating it. It if makes it through my torture tests then It gets the survivalpunk stamp of approval. I bought my trek light double hammock a few years ago. For a while it didn’t get much use. I knew I needed to review it. For the past few months I have used it daily. Right now I’m using it like a couch. Also a bed and a chair. At this point I have used it more than the regular user ever will. I know the trek light hammock inside and out. What do I think of it after all this time? Let’s find out.
